York Fire Department responds to mutual aid in Fillmore County; man trapped on cell tower

FILLMORE COUNTY – The York County Fire Department responded on Tuesday, June 11, to the report of a man trapped under steel at the top of a cell phone tower.

York Fire provided aerial assistance and ALS, as mutual aid.

York Fire says, “With the help of Fairmont Fire and Rescue, the Fillmore County Sheriff’s Department, StarCare, Fillmore County Dispatch, Central Valley Ag and York County 911, the victim was safely brought down and flown to a trauma center.”

York Fire Department thanks everyone who participated in this rescue.
