Bench warrant issued for Henderson woman convicted in criminal possession of financial device and meth

YORK – Katelyn M. Simmons, 32, of Henderson was scheduled to be sentenced this past week in York County District Court in a case involving financial fraud and possession of methamphetamine. However, she didn’t appear in court for sentencing proceedings; consequently, a bench warrant was issued for her arrest.

She was accused of possessing two credit cards owned by other people, as well as a blank check that didn’t belong to her.

She was also accused of having the Schedule 1 controlled substance in her possession, when she was taken into custody.

As part of an earlier plea agreement, one count of possession of a controlled substance was dismissed, as was one count of failure to appear. One felony count of failure to appear was amended to attempt of a Class 4 felony, which is a Class 1 misdemeanor.
