York man accused of three counts of sex assault of child, three counts of child abuse, pleads not guilty

YORK – Jesus Figueroa Lopez, 52, of York, has pleaded not guilty to three counts of third-degree sexual assault of a child and three counts of child abuse.

He appeared in York County District Court Tuesday, May 28, for arraignment. He was accompanied by an interpreter.

According to court documents, the York Police Department investigated this case.

It is alleged three children were assaulted by Lopez. Details of the case cannot be published due to the graphic information.

All six counts against Lopez are Class 3A felonies. If convicted, each count carries a possible maximum sentence of three years in prison, 18 months post-release supervision and a $10,000 fine.

A jury trial has been scheduled for late September.
