Yorkshire Playhouse performances of “The Cemetery Club” underway

YORK – Performances of “The Cemetery Club” are currently underway at the Yorkshire Playhouse in downtown York.

Danielle Deal, from the playhouse, says the production opened Tuesday evening and will continue through Sunday afternoon.

“This fun and heartfelt comedy centers around three widowed friends who visit the cemetery together once a month,” Deal said. “When Sam, ‘the playboy butcher,’ shows up at the cemetery, Ida and Lucille begin competing for his affection, while Doris decides everyone is out of their minds. It’s a fun and at times even a sad story about friendships and grief you won’t want to miss.”
