York man accused of three counts of sex assault of child, three counts of child abuse

YORK – Jesus Figueroa Lopez, 52, of York, has been charged with three counts of third degree sexual assault of a child and three counts of child abuse.

The case has been bound over to York County District Court. Arraignment proceedings had been scheduled for Monday, May 13, but it was continued to May 28, so an interpreter can be present.

According to court documents, the York Police Department investigated this case.

It is alleged three children were assaulted by Lopez. Details of the case cannot be published due to the graphic information.

All six counts against Lopez are Class 3A felonies. If convicted, each count carries a possible maximum sentence of three years in prison, 18 months post-release supervision and a $10,000 fine.
