YORK – More than 700 kids competed at the Uprise Gymnastics meet, held at the historic York City Auditorium, over the past weekend.

This was the 2024 AmeriKids District Meet. And it was the first time York played host to a gymnastic meet of this magnitude.

Kids competed over the course of Saturday and Sunday, with their friends and families visiting this town – many for the first time.

York Parks and Recreation Director Cheree Folts called the event “awesome” and thanked all the attendees for visiting York.

The event was hosted by AmeriKids Midwest and Uprise Gymnastics.
