Free school meals to be again be offered this summer at YES

YORK – Free school meals will again be offered this summer at York Elementary School.

According to the York Public Schools administration, the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP), through the United States Department of Agriculture, provides meals for hungry children during the long summer vacation.

The site for lunch distribution will be the York Elementary facility at 1501 Washington Avenue.

The meals will be served May 23-24, and then May 28-July 3. No meals will be served on Memorial Day, May 27.

Breakfasts will be served from 7:45-8:30 a.m. and lunches will be served from 11:45 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.

The program is free for kids ages 1-18.

Adult meals are available at $3 for breakfast and $5.25 for lunch.
