Not totality, but eclipse still experienced in York

YORK — Today’s eclipse experience in our neck of the woods was nothing like it was in 2017, when York was in the path of totality — but the sky was still a little eerie, blue-gray and yet strangely sparkly as the sun dimmed for just a moment this early afternoon.

While to most of us with just the naked eye, the eclipse moment just seemed like evening was approaching for a few minutes —  but for York photographer, Eric Eckert, it proved to be a little cooler because he managed to capture the moment using his equipment and special techniques. The accompanying photo is the image he captured in York right before the peak of our eclipse moment.
