York man accused of sexual assault of a child

YORK – Chad Carlson, 42, of York, has been charged with third degree sexual assault of a child in York County Court.

According to court documents, this case was investigated by the York Police Department.

Carlson is accused of sexually assaulting a child who was three or four years old when the alleged abuse took place.

Details of the case cannot be published because they are graphic in nature.

The affidavit in support of arrest, filed with the court, indicates the alleged assault took place several years ago in York.

Carlson’s bond has been set at $50,000, 10%.

A preliminary hearing has been scheduled in York County Court for May 28.

Carlson is a lifetime registrant on the Nebraska Sex Offender Registry. He was convicted of attempted sexual assault of a child in Hamilton County in 2003 and sexual assault of a child in Hamilton County in 2007.
