York Dukes bring home 2024 Class B State Speech Runner-Up Title

YORK – York Speech Coach Becky Stahr had this to say about an astounding speech season which ended with York Public High School bringing home the Class B state speech runner-up trophy: “What an amazing state speech tournament! I have never seen a closer battle in Class B! The Dukes are the proud recipient of the NSAA Class B Runner-Up trophy! I could not be more proud of our team. Congratulations Gering High School on your championship!”

And she went on: “Kaitlyn Dallmann, Avie Veldkamp and Rachel Helene Fox are the dream team! Your talents make these kids see the world in a whole new light. Thank you for all of your hard work. You have pushed these kids to do more than they ever thought! Cheers to a fantastic season!”

For her seniors: “What an amazing group of women! Thank you for leading these students in every way. You have all grown so much in this activity. I am extremely proud of the young women you have become. We love you all! And a huge thank you to our parents, school and community. You made our kids feel like superstars in this moment. Thank you for going above and beyond for our team!
