YORK — The storm spotter training which was scheduled for today, Monday, March 25, at the York County Fairgrounds, has been cancelled.

The training session was going to be conducted by staff from the National Weather Service out of Hastings — on Sunday, they asked for the event to be cancelled or rescheduled due to the possibility of inclement weather west of York County which might make it difficult for trainers to get here.

Gary Peterson, York/Seward County emergency manager, didn’t say when or whether the event will be scheduled.
