Vehicle hits York Medical Clinic building

YORK — A vehicle ran into the York Medical Clinic building early Tuesday morning, creating a good amount of damage to the exterior of the building.

Responding to the scene were officers with the York Police Department, who said at the scene the driver was fortunately not injured. And, fortunately, no one was injured inside the medical clinic.

The situation has been determined to be an accident, officers said.

Handicapped parking signs in the parking lot, in front of the affected area, were also damaged.

York General maintenance personnel were on hand, assessing the structural damage as the vehicle was being taken away by Hitz Towing.

The vehicle sustained front-end damage.

The vehicle fortunately did not enter the building, although the damage to the exterior, in the affected area, was substantial.

It appeared as if things went back to business as usual at the medical clinic and the hospital, despite the accidental situation.
