Bradshaw man to be sentenced for burglary

YORK – Brandon Proctor, 37, of Bradshaw, has pleaded no contest to burglary, a Class 2A felony.

He changed his plea this past week in York County District Court.

Court documents indicate the situation dates back to Dec. 13, 2021, with a situation at Klute Steel at 1313 Road G. in York County.

According to court documents, one of the owners said there was damage to a door and they were missing three laptop computers.

The York County Sheriff’s Department investigated the situation and saw a suspect shoe print.

Upon investigating, the owners said they realized “a bunch of Dewalt tools and batteries were missing” as well.

There were pieces of evidence, left behind, according to court documents, and later, the property owners showed investigators where an area of the exterior fence had been cut.

Items from the scene were submitted to the Nebraska State Patrol crime lab, in reference to DNA samples. According to court documents, DNA matches were made with Brandon Procter, who at some point had been an employee of Klute Inc.

The York County Sheriff’s Department addressed Proctor, after he was tagged for an order of a DNA sample.

According to court documents, Proctor’s DNA sample matched those at the crime scene.

Upon his no contest plea, a sentencing date has been set for April 29.
