Man accused of attempting to kill his parents in York

YORK – Jonah Jewell, 22, whose address (according to court documents) is Fort Liberty, North Carolina, is currently being held in the York County Jail on multiple charges, including two counts of attempted murder in York.

The case was investigated by the York Police Department.

It is alleged he broke into his parents’ home on Meadow Lane and a Model 25 Smith and Wesson handgun was used in the crime.

An affidavit has not yet been filed in the case, but the complaint indicates the situation occurred last Monday. More information will become available when the affidavit is filed with the court.

He has been charged with two counts of attempted murder, possession of a deadly weapon, burglary and two counts of terroristic threats.

Arraignment proceedings have been set in York County Court for March 11.
