York man charged with possession of meth after probation search

YORK – Jacob Johnson, 32, of York, has been charged with possession of methamphetamine following a probation search conducted at the residence where he was staying.

He has also been charged with false reporting.

According to court documents, a search was conducted at a residence where he had been staying, as he is currently on probation.

He was also questioned as to whether he was in the presence of a woman whom he is legally banned from being near. He told officers he was not in her presence and hadn’t been, but during the search, they found her in a bedroom.

Also in that bedroom, they allegedly found two syringes with one full of methamphetamine.

He has pleaded not guilty to both charges and a jury trial has been set in York County District Court for May 29.
