York County roads impassable, plows can’t keep up

York County Emergency Communications is reporting “county roads are becoming impassable. Our snow plows are unable to keep up with the blowing snow and roadways are blowing shut.”

This latest report came in at 8:15 a.m., Friday, Jan. 12.

The York County Sheriff’s Department is asking everyone to stay off the roads, as they are impassable and travel is not safe “anywhere in the county.”

All York County offices are closed today, due to the winter weather event. Due to next Monday being a holiday, the York County Courthouse will not be open until next Tuesday.

Also closed are the York city offices and facilities.
