City council to hold last meeting of the year

YORK – The York City Council will hold their last meeting of the calendar year 2023 when they sit in regular session Thursday night.

During Thursday’s meeting, they will hear from Lisa Hurley, director of the York County Development Corporation, who will be talking about business retention and expansions.

They will also consider the annual appointment of James Paul as the street superintendent for the city.

A quote will be presented from general Traffic Controls for two wireless signal cabinets, in the amount of $32,944.

They will also look at proposed amendments to the city’s deferred compensation plan.

And at the end of the meeting, the York Police Department will make a presentation to demonstrate the use of new equipment.

The public is encouraged to attend the meeting, which will begin at 5:30 p.m., in the council chambers.
