York police and fire respond to accident on approach to Nobes Road bridge

YORK — The York Police Department and the York Fire Department responded to a one-vehicle accident on the west approach of the Nobes Road bridge near the entrance to Beaver Creek Park, just east of the county shop.

The accident happened at approximately 1:40 p.m., Thursday.

It did not appear anyone was injured in the situation.

It was unclear as to the cause of the accident as the car was nearly perpendicular with the guard rail, pointing south on the east/west stretch.

No details were readily available as it was still an active scene and officers were investigating.
