Name of Anna Bemis Palmer Archives and Classroom officially to become Anna Bemis Palmer Museum

YORK – When the Anna Bemis Palmer Museum artifacts were moved from the York Community Center to 520 North Grant Avenue, that location came to be known as the Anna Bemis Palmer Archives and Classroom.

On Friday, Dec. 8, the Anna Bemis Palmer Museum Advisory Committee voted in favor of designating the new location to be officially known as the Anna Bemis Palmer Museum.

An announcement was made Friday morning, stating, “After the successful debut of our America at War exhibit and feedback from the community, the advisory committee has voted for 520 North Grant Avenue to be known as the Anna Bemis Palmer Museum.

“Thank you for all your support in our transition period,” museum representatives said. “If you haven’t yet visited our America at War exhibit, it will be available for viewing until the end of February.”

At that point, the war display artifacts will be changed out with a new themed display to fill the building and be made available to the public.
