Gratitude Alphabet

One tradition my children and I look forward to in November is that of gratitude leaves. Gratitude leaves are paper leaves we tape to a tree on a poster. Each leaf starts with the phrase, “I’m grateful for…”

When I was preparing for my children’s gratitude leaves, we read an article about completing a Gratitude Alphabet (thanks Highlights Magazine). As I have thought more about this Gratitude Alphabet, it made me realize that we adults should really think about what we are thankful for.  Many may not realize everything the Kilgore Memorial Library is involved in, whether it is providing information resources or with planning events. Here at the library, we are grateful for many people, activities and items:

  • LEGO Club (Saturdays 10 a.m.)
  • Magazines
  • Newspapers
  • Opportunities
  • Picassos (Little) Family Craft Time (Wednesdays 10:30 a.m.)
  • Quiet Time
  • Reading App Libby
  • Sensory Learning (Early Childhood Learning Center)
  • Tedious research help
  • Unlimited Blackstones Audiobooks
  • Volunteers
  • Wonderful Farmers’ Market
