City moves forward with budgeted expenses

YORK – As the 2023-24 fiscal year is now underway, budgeted expenses can be made as the budget was adopted in September.

Some of those expenses were given final approval this past week by the York City Council as they met in regular session.

They approved the purchase of a 2023 Ford Explorer to be used as a police vehicle in the department’s fleet. The purchase came in at $46,680.

The council also approved the purchase of two 2023 Kubota utility vehicles, with the trade-in of two 2016 models, in the amount of $32,000.

Regarding a parks and recreation budgeted item, they moved forward with the purchase of sun shades from Superior Recreational Products, which will be installed at the ballpark complex.
