City council to hear annual parks and rec report

YORK – When the York City Council meets in regular session this week, they will be hearing the annual Parks and Recreation report from Cheree Folts, director.

Each year, in the fall, she provides statistics from the usage of the city’s various features/facilities, including the ballpark complex, community center, city auditorium, family aquatic center and local parks.

Also on this week’s agenda, the council will consider a proclamation to declare Nov. 12-18 as Nebraska Library Week.

They will also consider authorizing the mayor to sign the annual certification of the city street superintendent.

The public is encouraged to attend the meeting, which will begin at 5:30 p.m., in the council chambers.
