YORK – Lucas Johnson, 32, of York, has been charged with a Class 4 felony after being allegedly caught with methamphetamine while at Recharge Lake.

Court documents indicate he was contacted by the York County Sheriff’s Department in the middle of the night, as a deputy saw him leaving the lake property’s parking lot. After Johnson allegedly admitted to having marijuana in his vehicle, a search was conducted.

During the search, deputies allegedly found a bag with a half-gram of methamphetamine on the front passenger floorboard; two glass pipes with black residue which was identified as methamphetamine; two rubber containers of concentrated cannabis, a marijuana pipe, a container of marijuana residue and a nectar collector.

A review of his criminal history showed he was out on bond for a domestic assault which occurred in Howard County.

Arraignment proceedings were scheduled for this week in York County District Court.
