York sex offender accused of non-compliance with registry

YORK – Kody Jansa, 33, of York, has been accused of not complying with the terms of the state’s sex offender registry.

He appeared for arraignment this week in York County District Court, during which he pleaded not guilty.

According to court documents, Jansa is required to comply with the registry as he was earlier convicted of first degree sexual assault in Douglas County.

The York County Sheriff’s Department was advised that Jansa had yet to update his address with the YSO. He had been registered as living in Henderson, but was now considered to be living in York.

His criminal history shows he is a convicted felony, multi-state offender. Court records also state his previous victim was a 9-year-old child, in Douglas County.

He is charged with a Class 3A felony.

A jury trial has been scheduled for late January, 2024.
