Sip and Stroll underway, with more than 300 participants

YORK – One of York Chamber of Commerce’s most popular events, Sip and Stroll, is underway in downtown York.

Hundreds of gift bags are being handed out – 310 to be exact, according to Chamber Director Madonna Mogul – and there are plenty of people in line ready to buy tickets now, as doors opened at 5 p.m.

Forty-five businesses are participating this year, offering adult beverages and food, as a way to show what York’s downtown has to offer.

Many people were already in line at 5 p.m., with Bob Sautter tasked with handing out the giftbags which ran down many tables down the chamber’s corridor.

Mogul was on hand to tell people the ins and outs of sidewalk work and places to go – plus there were riding options right outside if needed.

New this year is live music – along the route, Sippers and Strollers will find the talents of Ross Fraser, Gracie Jackson, Elizabeth Zaiger, Iron Zephyr, Leah Lane-Embray, Isaac and Beyond Burlington.

Those in line, waiting for their giftbags, said they were super excited for a fun night in downtown York, with a chance to try new wine, local brews, appetizers – and see what local businesses have to offer.
