Man allegedly caught with meth at Recharge Lake

YORK – Lucas Johnson, 32, whose address has been listed as both York and St. Paul, has been charged with possession of methamphetamine in York County.

His arraignment was scheduled for this week in York County District Court, but it was continued until later in the month.

According to court documents, a corporal with the York County Sheriff’s Department was conducting a security check at the west side parking lot of Recharge Lake when he saw a vehicle pulling out of the parking lot. He had contact with the driver, who was Johnson.

The corporal says in his affidavit, Johnson told him there was marijuana in the vehicle. A probable cause search of the vehicle was conducted and deputies allegedly found a bag containing methamphetamine, weighing a half-gram. They also allegedly found pipes with black methamphetamine residue, two rubber containers with concentrated cannabis, one glass container holding concentrated cannabis, a marijuana pipe, a container with marijuana residue and a nectar collector which is a device used to ingest a form of concentrated cannabis.

He has been charged with a Class 4 felony, which carries a possible maximum sentence of two years in prison with 12 months of post-release supervision.
