Scenes from Yorkfest Grand Parade: 2023 celebration in full swing

Yorkfest Parade 23

YORK – The 2023 Yorkfest celebration is in full swing with the annual highlight being the grand parade.

The parade was filled with entries, per usual, and was led by this year’s Yorkfest Royalty, Dick Foster and Penny Jacobsen.

Each year, since 1979, a Yorkfest king and queen have been crowned, honored for their work in the community.

And there is always a special float, carrying past kings and queens. While some are now deceased and some were able to attend, those who rode the float honored all who have been bestowed the honor.
