Henderson man charged with sex assault and trafficking of minors

YORK – Kody Jansa, 33, of Henderson, has been formally charged with seven felonies related to sexual assault of a child and sex trafficking of a minor.

His case has been bound over to York County District Court.

He has been charged with the following: Two counts of sex trafficking of a minor, both Class 1B felonies; two counts of third degree sexual assault of a child with prior offenses, both Class 1C felonies; committing intentional child abuse, two counts, both Class 3A felonies; and first degree sexual assault of a child with a prior offense, a Class 1B felony.

His arraignment has been scheduled for Sept. 25.

The York County Sheriff’s Department assisted the Henderson Police Department in the investigation.

Due to the graphic nature of the case, no further details can be published.

Court documents indicate Jansa’s criminal history includes that he is a convicted felon, multi-state offender, and a registered sex offender in Nebraska. He has had a prior conviction for first degree sexual assault in Douglas County – in that case, the victim was nine years old.
