York man sent to jail for possessing more than a gram of methamphetamine

YORK – Thomas Hallmark, 51, of York, has been sent to jail for possessing 1.3 grams of methamphetamine.

His sentencing took place in York County District Court, where Judge James Stecker sentenced him to six months in jail with credit for seven days already served.

Thomas was arrested by a York police officer after he was stopped for having no license plates or intransit tags. During that stop, according to court documents, Hallmark told the officer his driver’s license was suspended.

The officer said he could smell marijuana in the vehicle and during a search of the vehicle, ooffiers found a bag containing methamphetamine and a pipe with residue.
