Attempted burglary on Nebraska Avenue being investigated

YORK – The York Police Department is currently investigating a suspected attempted burglary in the area of 2220 North Nebraska Avenue, which occurred on July 10, at 12:12 a.m.

When officers arrived on scene, they observed damages to windows and doors to multiple apartments. The reporting party said they believed an unknown individual used a piece of wood to cause the damages.

Witnesses said there may have been two individuals involved and they saw a white and black car leave the area shortly afterwards.

The damages were estimated at approximately $800.

If anyone has information regarding the individuals involved, they are asked to call the York Police Department at 402-362-2640 or York County Crime Stoppers at 402-362-2999.

Anonymous tips may be eligible for a cash reward.
