York County Commissioners to hear improvement fund request from McCool, work with SENDD on housing program

YORK – When the York County Commissioners meet in regular session on Tuesday, July 25, they will be meeting with Bob Sautter, director of the York County Visitors Bureau, about a grant application filed by the village of McCool Junction as the entity is seeking visitor improvement funds.

These funds are generated by local lodging taxes and then dispersed through the county for projects intended to bring in visitors.

They will also consider several items with the Southeast Nebraska Development District (SENDD) regarding the county’s housing rehabilitation program and the topic of duplication of benefits certification for Four Corners Health Department.

Also on Tuesday’s agenda:

  • The board will meet with Jennifer Rasmussen about the courtroom network.
  • They will discuss and act on the MIPS program utilized by residents to pay taxes online.
  • They will consider designating a printer for future postcards that will have to be sent out in order to comply with LB 644.
  • They will also consider a service contract agreement with Aging Partners Care Management. This would be a renewal.
  • Following the regular meeting, the commissioners will conduct their quarterly jail visit.

The public is invited to attend the meeting, which is located on the main floor of the courthouse, as well as watch live online (with the recording to be available later as well). The meeting starts at 8:30 a.m.
