Colorado man accused of driving stolen vehicle with loaded guns, large amount of fentanyl and meth in York County  

YORK – Terrell Hubbard, 38, of Aurora, Colorado,has been charged with five felonies and three misdemeanors in a case involving stolen property, illegal guns and drugs.

He has been bound over to York County District Court on the following charges: theft/receiving stolen property with a value of more than $5,000, a Class 2A felony; possession of a deadly weapon by a prohibited person, a Class 3 felony; possession of a deadly weapon while committing a felony, a Class 3 felony; two counts of possession of a controlled substance, both Class 4 felonies; possession of more than one ounce but less than one pound of marijuana, a Class 3 misdemeanor; unlawful/fictitious display of plates, a Class 3 misdemeanor; and having operator’s license, a Class 3 misdemeanor.

A deputy with the York County Sheriff’s Department was on regular patrol on Interstate 80 when he saw a vehicle speeding. During the traffic stop, the deputy could see a large, handled knife and glass pipe sitting on the center cup holder, which he knew was to be used for smoking illegal narcotics.

It was found Hubbard had a suspended operator’s license. Because of the presence of the meth pipe, a search was conducted.

During the search, a Colorado license plate was found under the passenger seat and a check of the VIN number showed the vehicle had been stolen in Colorado.

Deputies also found 2.1 grams of fentanyl and 2.3 grams of methamphetamine, a digital scale with meth residue and a knife with a 5-inch blade.

In the back seat area, they found a loaded H. Schmidt .22 mag revolver on the floorboard, marijuana, four pre-rolled joints, a hooka bong and 100 unused small plastic bags.

They also found a Crown Royal bag in which there were two Glock 9 mm magazines along with 21 9-mm caliber bullets, six .380 caliber bullets and six .22 caliber bullets.

Inside a bag Hubbard had been wearing, they found 78.5 grams of fentanyl, nine bags containing 11.4 grams of methamphetamine, two Narcan doses, small glass jar with residue, a digital scale with meth residue, 31 unused baggies and three plastic tubes found on one of the passengers contained 36.7 grams of fentanyl.

A Ruger LCP 11 .380 handgun with a loaded magazine containing six .380 caliber bullets was found to be stolen.

It was also found that Hubbard is a convicted felon with crimes to include: controlled substance possession in Denver; assault in jail with bodily fluid, in Colorado, smuggling contraband into prison, in Colorado; and habitual criminal eligible.
