Warrant issued for man accused of drug possession in York County

YORK – Noel I. Hoig, 54, of Omaha, was bound over to York County District Court on a count of possession of a controlled substance; when he didn’t show up for his arraignment this past week, an arrest warrant was issued.

He was initially arrested when a York police officer saw him make a left turn on a red light at the York interchange. The officer could smell the odor of marijuana and a probable cause search was conducted. The officer found four containers labeled as containing marijuana, two containers of concentrated THC gummies, a pipe for smoking marijuana and an open bottle of Johnnie Walker Black.

Another arraignment date has been set for July 24.
